The Snieders trail connects Antwerp (Deurne) and Bladel in North Brabant, the Netherlands. The name of this GR trail was given in honour of two writers, the Snieders brothers, who were contemporaries of Conscience. The trail connected their hometown of Bladel with where they worked (Antwerp and Turnhout).

GR 565 is a sub-section of a European Hiking Trail E2 "North Sea-Riviera". This route starts in Scotland and ends in Nice, on the Mediterranean. In Flanders, the E2 route is largely formed by the GR 5A from Ostend to Antwerp. GR E2 forms the connection with the park Rivierenhof. In Deurne, the E2 then follows the white-red trail of GR 565 Sniederspad until the 'Boshuisje' in Zoersel. Here it connects with GR 5 and continues via Diest to the vicinity of Liège, towards Luxembourg and France.
