Organization

Grote Routepaden is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers and led by a Board of Directors.

Our five local hubs – one in each province – ensure that our trails are meticulously marked. They also update the routes where necessary, organise guided walking tours and contribute to the general management of the organisation.

Grote Routepaden is aided by several experts as well, who support the organisation with their cartography skills or provide vital input on the management of group processes or the organisation of multi-day walking tours.

Lastly, a whole team of volunteers works tirelessly on the publication of our Dutch-language magazine Op Weg, which comes out six times per year and inspires readers with fascinating articles about walking and cycling journeys in Belgium and abroad.
