The GR 128 starts in the French village of Wissant, halfway between Cap Griz-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez, and runs through France for about 170 km. It then crosses all of Flanders before ending in the German city of Aachen.

The GR 128 is called the Flanders Route for a reason. This trail traverses all of Flanders: from Kemmel in West Flanders, through the provinces of East Flanders and Flemish Brabant to Limburg. There, the GR 128 crosses the Dutch border and runs past Maastricht, before returning to Teuven in the far east of Flanders. The trail’s 473 km offer a great introduction to Flanders’ surprisingly rich and varied natural beauty, as well as to the region’s cultural and historical heritage.
